What does your new job as an electronics technician specializing in industrial engineering (m/f/d) entail? We’ll explain it to you!

Electronics technicians specializing in industrial engineering install electrical components and systems in the fields of electrical power supply, industrial facilities, and building systems and automation technology. You design system modifications and expansions, install cable routing systems and power lines, set up machines and drive systems, and assemble switchgear. You also program, configure, and test systems and safety devices.
You also monitor the systems, perform regular maintenance, conduct routine inspections, and repair them in the event of a malfunction. You organize the installation of systems and supervise the work of contractors and other trades. When handing over the systems, Industrial Electronics Technicians train future users on how to operate them.

What is your new job as a warehouse logistics specialist?
(m/f/d)? We’ll explain it to you!

Warehouse logistics specialists receive all types of goods and check their quantity and condition based on the accompanying documents. You organize the unloading of the goods, sort them, and store them properly in pre-assigned locations. In doing so, you ensure that the goods are stored under optimal conditions and regulate factors such as temperature and humidity. In the shipping department, you plan delivery routes and determine the most cost-effective shipping method. You assemble shipments, pack the goods, and prepare accompanying documents such as delivery slips or customs declarations. You also load trucks and containers, operate forklifts, and secure the cargo to prevent it from shifting or leaking. In addition, warehouse logistics specialists optimize the internal flow of information and materials, from procurement to sales.

What are your new responsibilities?

Warehouse logistics specialists use not only lifting equipment or stacker cranes but also their hands when transporting boxes or containers. Scales and counting devices, packaging machines, freight tables, and loading lists are also part of your equipment. While performing your duties, you’ll wear protective clothing, such as safety shoes, to prevent injuries. In your day-to-day work, you’ll alternate between computer-based tasks in an office and tasks in warehouses or outdoors.

The work of warehouse logistics specialists requires organizational skills and attention to detail when assigning loading and unloading times and storage locations, or when properly consolidating shipments for dispatch. Spatial awareness is important for storing goods in the warehouse while taking into account the type, nature, volume, and weight of the goods. Operating conveyor systems or lifting equipment while assessing and taking the surroundings into account requires good hand-eye coordination and caution.

Industrial clerks deal with commercial and business management tasks in a wide variety of industries, for example materials management, sales and marketing, but also human resources, finance and accounting.

As an industrial clerk, you will purchase goods and manage inventory, calculate costs for orders and projects, and monitor production processes. In addition, you will work in marketing and sales, take orders, conduct sales negotiations, prepare invoices, and plan marketing and advertising campaigns.

You handle the bookkeeping, monitor payment transactions, and apply cost planning and control tools. For example, you post invoices using specialized software.
